it has to be said that shipping aside, making shiro gay and then killing his partner, after all the joy and glee and love from the fandom after the news like… announcing that shiros gay KNOWING the reaction that’ll come from lgbt fans and also KNOWING what was going to happen to adam… that’s genuinely heinous. i’d have preferred they kept adam, and shiro’s sexuality, out of it completely. it’s disgusting, it just adds to a long, long list of bury your gays, and i’d even say it’s a form of baiting, to get fans hype with the idea of shiro and adam being together knowing that it’s false. i hate to speak this seriously about voltron, but id even call it morally repugnant. especially considering the fact that we’re most likely getting at least two heterosexual end game ships.
